Foreign companies requiring a simplified structure in order to contact potentiel clients and suppliers, or carry out communication and advertising campaigns, may set up as a Liaison or Representation office.
With this status it is forbidden to have a sales activity, for this would mean resemblance to a stable establishment and consequently the office would be subject to the same obligations as a branch. The Liaison office doesn't have a legal status of its own. Creation procedure The liaison office has to declare itself and be registered with the RCS (Trade and entreprises Register) In the event of employee recruitment, the declarations and charges formalities have to be carried out by the employer. The salaries belong to the general employees regime. You may be assisted by a chartered accountant mandated by the parent company. He will help you with all the necessary administrative formalities. |
